Inspired by the legendary rule of King Solomon—renowned for his wisdom, prosperity, and ability to create harmony—we believe that true leadership is about serving others with fairness and integrity.

King Solomon’s reign was known for its dedication to justice, flourishing trade, and cultural advancements. His kingdom thrived because of his ability to make sound decisions, build strong relationships, and cultivate an atmosphere of growth and prosperity.

As passionate café lovers, we founded Kingship Coffee to set a new standard—one where great food, expertly crafted coffee, and genuine service come together in a welcoming environment.
We believe that a café should be more than just a place to eat and drink—it should be a place where people connect, share ideas, and feel a sense of belonging.

We all know how hard it is to get a great cup of coffee after 3 PM, and Kingship Coffee is here to change that. From early mornings to late nights, you can always count on us for great coffee, great food, and even greater service—until 11:30 PM every night.

Erick Chandra

Owner & Café Manager

With over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, Erick brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to Kingship Coffee.

He honed his craft during 10+ years at The Grounds of Alexandria, one of Sydney’s most renowned café destinations, before taking on leadership roles as a Multi-Venue Manager at Airport Retail Enterprises (ARE) and Venue Manager at Kanade Japanese Restaurant.

Erick’s dedication to creating exceptional café experiences is driven by his love for great food, expertly crafted coffee, and outstanding customer service.  At Kingship Coffee, he leads the team with a commitment to excellence, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and every cup served meets the highest standard.

Jay Patel

Owner & Chef

With nearly a decade of experience leading kitchens, Jay Patel is the culinary force behind Kingship Coffee. Specializing in Mediterranean cuisine, he began his journey as a cook at Arebella Restaurant, where his dedication and skill quickly earned him a promotion to Head Chef.

Over the years, Jay has perfected his craft, overseeing back-of-house operations and ensuring every dish meets the highest standards of flavor and presentation.

As Head Chef for Kingship Coffee’s dinner service, he brings a chef’s touch to the menu, crafting dishes that complement the café’s exceptional brews.

Hendri

Chef

With over 15 years of culinary experience, Hendri brings a deep understanding of flavour, technique, and consistency to the Kingship Coffee kitchen. His career has taken him through some of Sydney’s most recognised hospitality venues, including The Meat & Wine Co., Harts Pub in The Rocks, Opera Kitchen, and El Loco for the Merivale group. Most notably, Hendri held the position of Head Chef at The Henson Hotel, where he further refined his leadership and kitchen management skills.

Known for his calm presence, strong work ethic, and attention to detail, Hendri plays a key role in delivering standout breakfast, lunch, and dinner experiences—ensuring every dish reflects Kingship Coffee’s high standards and signature touch.
